This was the question for our contestants, in our recent club Table Topics Contest. We heard great answers ranging from the associated risk/reward, getting up when you fall down and no blueprint to follow.
There was a consensus that it is better to try, and keep trying, at your endeavor then to never give it a go. Besides, as speakers, all of our ‘failures’ make great speeches!
It does pose a question to me that why are we so afraid of the word ‘failure’? Because it sounds so negative and final? Perhaps the positive spin on it, and where we should focus our attention, is that there is no such thing as failure, just feedback. I heard this positive spin on failure and it resonated with me. There is no such thing as failure, just feedback.
If we take this view, what are you waiting for?
What is something that you would like to attempt?
